Exhibition: Art on paper
18 January 2025 – 14 June 2026
Ståhl Collection
Art on paper is an intense experience, where you as a visitor are not only a viewer, but may also feel watched.
Paper as a material is a completely different category within art with an enormous breadth. It creates the possibility for a variety of different techniques: gouache, watercolor, drawings with pencil, ink or charcoal. Graphic sheets and other types of prints, even sculptures. Photography can also be considered art on paper, and a large part of this exhibition is devoted to photographic expression.
I love the material paper! The tactile nature of paper, the variation of paper and the ability to carry expression. Paper has always fascinated me, says Mikael Ståhl.
The exhibition shows a wide variety of works and artistry, with artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Robert Mapplethorpe, Cindy Sherman and Lars Lerin.
