Many artists sketch or draw. It is a simple way to show what they have seen or thought. In the exhibition “Yet another morning – Drawing in the Moderna Museet Collection” you will meet around a hundred Swedish and international artists who have worked with different ways of drawing over the past 100 years.
The path between the hand and the brain is short. With a few strokes, an artist can capture an entire story in a fraction of a second. Sometimes it is a more laborious task, to cover an entire paper with thousands of thin lines.
“Ännu en morgon – Drawing in the Moderna Museet Collection” presents how artists have observed their surroundings, themselves and their everyday lives, but also how they express what is not there to see, such as emotions, thoughts and social criticism. The exhibition also shows the love for different materials, as well as how drawing finds its way all the way out into nature and back into the museum walls again.
