Lisa Englund, Woven Lives at Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum

Woven Lives – our major exhibition at Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum this fall. The loom takes center stage – not just as a tool, but as a symbolic space where craftsmanship, memory, and artistic expression converge.

The museum opens the doors to an exhibition showcasing works by over twenty-five artists on September 26th 2025, ranging from Swedish textile icons such as Märta Måås-Fjetterström, Barbro Nilsson, and Viola Gråsten, to contemporary voices like Andreas Eriksson, Emma Holmgren, Hans Thomsson, and Pia Ferm. Here, generations and artistic forms meet – from the repetitive rhythm of the rag rug to large-scale installations and conceptual textile works.

Guided introductions are held daily, and four extended tours are offered each week in Swedish, with the option to book in English. On selected occasions, weaving demonstrations will take place in the exhibition – a unique opportunity to experience the craft up close.
