This book is published in conjunction with an exhibition at the Swedish Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Stockholm, 28 February – 5 April 2009, and has been produced with the support of the Stiftelsen Längmanska Kulturfonden, the Swedish Royal Academy of Fine Arts from Göran Lagervall's Foundation.
Since her debut exhibition at Galleri Mejan in 1974, Beth Laurin's art has attracted attention, surprised, worried and amused. Over the years, she has explored a wide range of expression: sculptures in almost every imaginable material, meticulous pencil and charcoal drawings, collage, performance, objects, installations, landscape art, photography, video, text - and sound.
