Julius Göthlin b. 1984

Overview

Julius Göthlin (b. 1984) seeks to create a constantly moving place - a single vibrating, changing, escaping now. The abstract compositions relate to the subtle experiences we get from sound waves or the shifts of light. In his work he manages to stretch the experience of a material's physical structure by loosening the boundaries of the three and two-dimensional mediums.
With a technique as unusual as it is suggestive, Göthlin creates works that touch on questions about how we define, perceive and relate to movement and what is created in the gaps between order and chaos, fragment and wholeness.
Julius Göthlin lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. His work has recently been presented nationally in Sweden and internationally in countries such as Italy, India and Denmark
